static text pages, the learning process may never begin. Studies
show that up to 75% of eLearners don't complete self-paced
online courses. It should come as no surprise that completing
15 hours of self-paced study on complex technical topics is
a challenge for even the most disciplined students.

shows that a student's learning experience, either in the
classroom or over the Internet, can be dramatically enriched
by pro-active tutoring from expert mentors. Online mentoring
has been shown to reduce drop out rates and increase students'
retention. Mentors monitor student progress and provide a
crucial intangible - human encouragement.
