Learning Voyage Joins jCert as Participant
Member
Learning Voyage joins growing jCert membership
in promoting common standards so that developers can be
"certified once, recognized everywhere"
Learning Voyage, Inc., a leading provider of education
services to e-business infrastructure companies, today
announced that it has joined the jCert Initiative as a
Participant Member. By establishing and promoting common
standards for Java™ technology skills training and validation,
the non-profit, multi-vendor jCert Initiative is providing a
ready supply of certified developers to meet growing demand
for enterprise e-business applications. The jCert Initiative
will reduce redundancy in testing and will allow developers to
be "Certified Once, Recognized Everywhere." As part of the
initiative, Learning Voyage will provide instructor-led
training and other education services focused on Java and the
J2EE platform.
As part of its long history educating developers and
architects on leading middleware technologies, Learning Voyage
is committed to promoting Java certification and increasing
Java skills in the e-business software industry. Learning
Voyage will assist jCert Sponsor Members in delivering
training for the three progressive levels of certification in
the jCert program.
Level 1 - Sun Certified Programmer for the Java 2
Platform Demonstrates proficiency in the Java
programming language.
Level 2 - Certified Solution
Developer Demonstrates competency in Java application
development tools, object-oriented analysis, and design with
UML.
Level 3 - Certified Enterprise
Developer Demonstrates competency with enterprise
connectivity with the Java Platform and enterprise development
with a vendor specific application server.

software solutions depends on increasing the pool of highly
qualified Java developers and professionals, " said Chris

simplifying and standardizing the certification process for
Java technologies, the jCert Initiative will provide a
